Each summer Avero welcomes recent college graduates and current students with hospitality industry experience to the Avero Management Program, fondly referred to internally as “AMP”. This year’s program has officially kicked off in New York with trainings, meetings and lots of delicious food, and we wanted to give our loyal blog readers the chance to meet the AMP class of 2015!
Adam Nesto | Client Operations Associate: Hailing from Boston, Adam has hotel operations experience from The Liberty, Ames Hotel and Hotel & Leisure Advisors, and F&B operations experience from Max Ultimate Food and Sorellina. He holds a BS in Hospitality Administration from Cornell.
Alex Crooker | Summer Intern: Alex was previously a Revenue Management Analyst for the Waldorf Astoria, F&B Property intern for Hilton Worldwide and Sales/Marketing extern for Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Alex is a BS candidate in Hotel Administration at Cornell, class of 2016.
Anna Kornick | Summer Intern: Anna was previously an Operations Research intern at Boston Beer Works and Line Cook/Food Runner at Acadia, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Chicago. Anna is a BS candidate in Hotel Administration at Cornell, class of 2016.
Brittany Berman | Client Operations Associate: After completing her AMP internship last year and earning a BS in Hospitality Administration from Cornell, Brittany has returned to Avero full time. As an intern, Brittany taught our first-ever Technology in Hospitality C-CAP Externship class and formed important client relationships that will continue to grow as she manages accounts. Prior to Avero, Brittany completed Union Square Hospitality Group’s Blue Smoke Management in Training program.
Daisy Dolan | Business Development Associate: Quite the world traveler, Daisy has previously interned with the Mondrian in Los Angeles and the Blakes Hotel in London. She founded the Cornell chapter of Spoon University, a successful national online food publication, and holds a BS in Hospitality Administration from Cornell.
Ha Lim Lee | Marketing Associate: Ha Lim was previously a Revenue Management Solutions intern in Florida and has shadowed Head Chef Yoshimi Tanigawa at Kichisen, a three-star Michelin restaurant in Japan. Also while in Japan, Ha Lim learned the art of Japanese cooking and knife techniques at the Nakamura Culinary School. He holds a BS in Hospitality Administration from Cornell.
Isa Gomez | Summer Intern: Isa previously interned at Masa Bakery and taught English to inner-city preschoolers as a volunteer through Pies Descalzos in Bogota. Isa is a BA candidate in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology at Harvard, class of 2016.
Sivan Gompers | Marketing Associate: Prior to Avero, Sivan completed marketing internships with Honest Tea and Suzie’s Yard. While at Harvard, Sivan taught science and cooking to middle school students as Director of Programming at The Food Lab. She holds a BA in Social Anthropology and Human Evolutionary Biology from Harvard.
