Each summer Avero hires recent college graduates and current student interns who have an interest in hospitality to participate in the Avero Management Program, and this year’s class is our largest yet. The summer-long training program “Avero U” officially kicks off next week in our New York office with educational sessions on Avero’s industry-leading software, discussions about the state of the restaurant industry, and a tour of classic and trendy New York restaurants. Amanda Rabago, Client Operations Associate: Amanda has restaurant experience from Princess Cruises, Café Jennie, and Yumi Yogurt. She has a BS in Hotel Administration from Cornell.
Cassidy Cox, Business Development Associate: Cassidy has hospitality industry experience from Onefinestay, restaurant consulting firm VSAG, and The Statler Hotel. She has a BS in Hotel Administration from Cornell.
Cecily Shattan, Business Development Associate: Cecily has interned at Bloomingdales, Rent the Runway, private equity firm Goode Partners, and revenue management software company PriceTech. She has a BA in Sociology from Harvard.
Derek Whang, Summer Intern: Derek has interned for The New York Times, real estate startup TripleMint, Victory Capital Management, and The Cousteau Society. Derek is pursuing a BA in Government at Dartmouth.
Isa Gomez, Product Marketing Associate: Returning to Avero from her internship last summer, Isa has restaurant experience from Masa Bakery. She has a BA in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology from Harvard.
Jake Schaffer, Client Operations Associate: Jacob has worked at Carbone and ZZ’s Clam Bar of Major Food Group, La Fonda del Sol of Patina Restaurant Group, Four Seasons Beverly Hills, and Taverna Banfi. He has a BS in Hotel Administration from Cornell.
Meet Patel, Client Operations Associate: Meet has worked in his family’s hotel business for many years and has interned at tech companies such as Cognoa, Do.com, Pivot, and Fundacion Custer. Meet has a BA in Economics from Harvard.
Michael Aguero-Sinclair, Summer Intern: Michael has previously worked as an analyst for JP Morgan’s Energy Investment Banking & Corporate Finance Advisory groups and as a business leader ambassador for NextGenVest. He is pursuing a BA in Economics at Yale.
PJ Schepis, Client Operations Associate: PJ has worked at Eleven Madison Park, Xaviars Restaurant Group, and Saxondale Restaurant Group. He has an AA in Occupational Studies from The Culinary Institute of America and a BS in Hotel Administration from Cornell.
Rocky Forman, Summer Intern: Rocky has previously worked in corporate, front of house, and back of house roles at Hilton, McCormick, Moon Thai, Masan Asian Grill, and Offerdahl’s Cafe Grill. She has an AA in Occupational Studies from The Culinary Institute of America and is pursuing a BS in Hotel Administration from Cornell.
Sophie Gershon, Summer Intern: Sophie has previously interned for Mo’Motion, and she has a specialized internship with Avero’s Product Development team to hone her programming skills. She is pursuing a BE in Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Stephanie Goldstein, Summer Intern: Stephanie has previously interned for Park Hyatt New York, Starr Events, and Restaurant Savona. She is pursuing a BS in Hotel Administration from Cornell.
Victoria Li, Product Marketing Associate: Victoria has interned at Momofuku, Big Mozz, and food app startup PareUp. She has a BA in Economics from Dartmouth.
