As one of Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International’s (HSMAI) partners, Avero exhibited at the 2015 HSMAI Revenue Optimization Conference in beautiful Austin, Texas earlier this week. More than 500 hotel industry leaders came together for this one-day conference, and many of them stopped by the Avero booth to share their perspectives on how they are looking beyond hotel rooms and optimizing revenue through food and beverage.
Event attendees stressed the importance of making food and beverage analysis an integral part of any hotel or casino revenue management strategy, which is music to Avero’s ears. One trend in particular came up a lot over the course of the day:
“Revenue management is moving from just revenue for rooms to NET revenue per available room [RevPAR],” said Adam Sternberg, Avero’s Las Vegas Sales Director. “It’s no longer just what the guest is spending on the room, but every dollar they spend while on the property.”
